HORMONE HEALTH & Weight Loss
Individualized support for changing hormones, changing weight, and changing needs.
Hormonal changes can affect many aspects of how you feel and function, including energy, sleep, mood, body composition, and weight. We offer personalized hormone evaluation and treatment for both women and men, including the Biote Method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy when appropriate.
Symptoms deserve a thoughtful evaluation.
Changes in hormone levels may be associated with fatigue, difficulty sleeping, mood changes, difficulty concentrating, changes in weight or body composition, decreased libido, changes in strength or muscle mass, hot flashes, night sweats, and other symptoms.
Because these concerns can have many different causes, hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone. We begin with a comprehensive evaluation that considers your symptoms, medical history, laboratory results, medications and supplements, and personal health goals.

Hormone care begins with the whole picture.
Hormone And Wellness Evaluation
Your initial evaluation includes a review of your current symptoms and concerns, including changes in energy, sleep, mood, weight or body composition, medical and family history, medications and supplements, previous hormone treatment when applicable, and your health and wellness goals.
Laboratory testing will also be performed or ordered to evaluate hormone levels and other relevant health markers.
Individualized Treatment
Once your results are available, your provider will review them with you and discuss whether hormone optimization may be appropriate.
Treatment recommendations are individualized based on your health history, symptoms, laboratory findings, goals, and other factors. Your provider will discuss potential benefits and risks, possible side effects, alternatives, and appropriate follow-up before treatment begins.
Biote Pellet Therapy
For patients who are appropriate candidates, we offer the Biote Method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
Biote pellets contain estradiol and/or testosterone depending on the individual treatment plan. The pellets are approximately the size of a grain of rice and are placed beneath the skin during a brief in-office procedure, where they gradually release hormones over time.
Follow-Up And Monitoring
Every patient’s response to hormone therapy is different. Some patients may notice changes within several weeks, while others may require more time and ongoing treatment.
Your provider will monitor your progress and may repeat laboratory testing when appropriate. Future treatment and pellet-insertion schedules are individualized based on your symptoms, laboratory results, response to treatment, and overall health.
About Biote pellet therapy.
Biote specializes in hormone optimization and provides training and resources for healthcare providers offering bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.
At Center for Midwifery & Women’s Health, we combine the Biote Method with individualized medical care. Rather than approaching hormone therapy as a one-size-fits-all treatment, our providers evaluate each patient personally and develop recommendations based on their health history, laboratory findings, symptoms, and goals.

Important information about hormone therapy.
Hormone therapy is not appropriate for everyone. Treatment recommendations are based on an individualized medical evaluation. Potential benefits, risks, side effects, contraindications, and alternatives should be discussed with your healthcare provider before beginning treatment.
Compounded hormone products, including certain hormone pellets used in hormone optimization therapy, may not be FDA-approved. Your provider can explain which products are being recommended and discuss their regulatory status, risks, benefits, and available alternatives.
